Dear SOE,

We are writing to notify you that your H: drive (Private_Home) will be migrated to the UITS Enterprise File Service (EFS) starting on Monday, December 18 at 5:00 pm and concluding by Tuesday, December 19 at 8:00 am.

After the migration, your files will be located in the personal (P:) drive.

During the migration

The H: drive will be inaccessible, and you should use alternative storage methods (e.g., OneDrive, USB, external drive). We will notify you via email once the migration is complete.

After the migration

You may need to remap your drives.

• The drives on computers running Microsoft Windows that are connected to the UConn domain (i.e., require a NetID login) will automatically remap once rebooted.
• Apple Macintosh computers, computers running Microsoft Windows that are not connected to the domain, and Linux computers will need to be re-mapped manually.

Please visit https://soe-migration.uconn.edu/ for information about connecting to the P: drive and what you will see the first time you open it.   The cleanup section will help with the file structure and how to disconnect unused drives.
